Who doesn’t not like some healthy competition? Who enjoys the use of double negatives to make sentences more confusing?

Well, we do. Or we don’t. I’m no longer sure of what I am agreeing to.

Anyway, here is a super competition well worth entering:

As culmination to a week of special Bella Union coverage, The Line of Best Fit set up a fun competition with a wonderful prize - a ton of Bella goodies plus free tickets to three Bella Union artist shows of your choosing.

To win all you have to do is draw your favourite Bella band. Here is an example by TLOBF’s Francine:

If you think you can do better, or worse, do enter.

Full details here.

JEN LONG’S SANDWICH (that she made on Saturday)

When I agreed to do a Monday Sandwich for Bella Union there were a few things I failed to take into account. Firstly, that people at record labels are busy, and therefore may not have the time on Mondays to post food based frivolity. Secondly, that my life is stupid and on a fair few Monday mornings I might not find myself in a sandwich making situation. And finally, the fact sandwiches are amazing on every day of the week.

So I think I’ll ditch the Monday bit and instead write about a sandwich I made on Saturday.

I’d had a conversation with my friend Paul the night before about Emmental cheese, so suddenly had a craving to eat it in a sandwich. I bought some nice brown bread and made a fancy Ploughman’s type thing.

First, I toasted the bread and spread it with some kind of generic fake butter. Then I added a layer of cheese, a layer of salad, and finished it off with pickle. Then I toasted it until the Emmental had just started to melt.

It was amazing. I’d give it a ten out of ten.
